Friends, Romans and Countrymen, lend me your dogs
(with apologies to William Shakespeare for the misquote)

Arriving at Dawn’s in Muswell Hill is stepping back into my oldest and best friendship. It’s five years since I last stayed with Dawn, who had been a besties when I lived in London back in my 20s. But it may as well have been yesterday, the way we picked up the conversation and how relaxed I felt (and Gerry felt) in her company. That did not change when Nigel got home as we were all like old chums and they welcomed us with open arms – literally – into their beautiful home.
We also felt very at home at Dawn’s favourite cafe, The Grove, in Alexandra Palace, which is a dog walkers heaven. As you can see from the photo. No time to miss the dogs! We were surrounded by them.
The next photo shows Dawn and I standing on the steps of the entrance where the first ever BBC transmission came from in Alexandra Palace.
