This was rather a sad journey, as we had heard a few days before that Jo’s Mum was terminally ill and they had to cancel their trip to New Zealand. They invited us, so generously, as we had never met before, to stay with them for a night on our way to the next house sit in Sydney. We are so glad we did!
Mullum Mullum Park in Donvale
Their three dogs, Ruby, Nellie and Carter were so delightful. It would have been so much fun getting to know them better. Andy cooked us the best fillet steak ever when they got back from the hospital. And we had many laughs over a red or two, with delicious food and such hospitable company.
The next day as Jo set off to the hospital to see Mum again, we sadly left, hoping that we may be able to connect with those beautiful dogs and that lovely couple again in the future.
